In an interview with The Daily Caller, West, who is black, was not pleased with the report, saying that the military is not a social experiment for outside groups to impose their theories. Rather, he said, it is a merit based organization where anybody can succeed.
“Everyone that comes into the military has an equal opportunity to get promoted to the next level. It is not about outside entities trying to engineer and design results and outcomes or create a sense of equal achievement and when some military diversity group writes a report saying there are too many white men on top,” West said. “It is kind of a slap in the face to those who have risen through the ranks such as four star General [Lloyd] Austin, [General] Kip Ward, many others. We don’t need these outside entities trying to design or shape a military.”
West continued by noting that many confuse privileges with rights. To West, it is a privilege to serve in the military. He also said it is not an institution with which outsiders should tinker, especially while engaged in conflicts abroad.
“I think that when you look at these groups and other liberal special interest groups that keep trying to chip away at the military,” he said. “We are engaged with a very vicious enemy in two combat areas and who knows what is going to happen in North Africa and the Middle East and now is not the time for us to stop and start sensitivity training.”
West suspects that the military as an institution is targeted by liberals because of the things it represents.
“The military stands for things that liberals don’t care for: standards, discipline, honor, character. And those are things they don’t like because they believe everyone should be equal…that is not what the military is all about.”

Bachmann Exclusive: Obama, Reid and Pelosi 'Deceitfully' Hid $105 Billion in Obamacare
Bachmann proposes this course of action to deal with the appropriation: “The government runs out of money on March 18 of 2011. Before we Republicans agree to fund the government one day further, we need to get an agreement from Barack Obama and Harry Reid that they will give back the $105 billion that they deceitfully put into that bill. They need to give that money back and then we need to defund Obamacare after the next election.Now is the time to remove this funding.
Vote no on the continuing resolution because it doesn't cut funding for Obamacare!

Be careful of the State Run Media Spin.Vinson indirectly pointed out the Administration’s bad faith when he noted that DOJ lawyers said in their reply brief that the reason for the delay was because Vinson’s order needed “careful analysis.” Yet this was “contrary to media reports that the White House declared within hours after entry of [Vinson's] order that ‘implementation will proceed apace’ regardless of the ruling.” Judge Vinson also wrote that the government’s legal citation in its most recent motion “borders on misrepresentation.”
So today, Judge Vinson reaffirmed that he meant it when he said the law was unconstitutional and that he had expected the executive branch to abide by his decision. Judge Vinson said the language in his original order “seems to be plain and unambiguous. Even though I expressly declared that the entire Act was ‘void,’ and even though I emphasized that ‘separate injunctive relief is not necessary’ only because it must be presumed that ‘the Executive Branch will adhere to the law as declared by the court,’ which means that ‘declaratory judgment is the functional equivalent of an injunction,’ the defendants have indicated that they ‘do not interpret the Court’s order as requiring them to immediately cease [implementing and enforcing the act].’” The judge was obviously annoyed that the government has “reportedly continued with full implementation.” He went on to “clarify” his order that he expected his declaratory judgment to “be treated as the ‘practical’ and ‘functional equivalent of an injunction.’”
The plaintiffs had asked the judge to treat the DOJ’s motion to “clarify” as a motion for a stay and to deny the motion. Judge Vinson did treat the motion to clarify as a motion to stay his earlier judgment but then offered a clever compromise to the Obama Administration: He granted a stay for seven days but only on the condition that the Administration file an appeal within that period that requests expedited appellate review, either in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit or the Supreme Court. Judge Vinson also noted that the appeal could be expedited because the briefing on the underlying legal issues was already submitted in his court.
Like Obama, what you see isn't what you get.

I have one message to the rest of the Republican delegation who
betrayed the overwhelming opinion of their base: March 6, 2012.
That's the date of the next Republican primary and the day you will
be held accountable for what happens in this year's session. It
doesn't matter how you vote; if bills die in committee it is your
fault because you put a liberal in charge of picking the committee
chairs.
I want to end on a note of encouragement to my readers. I do not
believe this fight was for nothing. In order to bolster his
re-election, Joe Straus likely had to make all sorts of promises to
pass conservative legislation. Those who voted for him know you
are angry, and since they are starting off the session "in the
hole" so to speak with their constituents, they may be more eager
to over-deliver on legislation.
Even liberal Burt Solomons, who almost lost his seat in the last
primary to an opponent I supported with a few thousand dollars, has
made noises about supporting mandatory E-Verify in the state. God
bless Burt if he delivers on that. Similarly, immigration
flip-flopper Rick Perry gave emergency status to an
anti-sanctuary-city bill in the House. It is only because of your
efforts and pressure that these politicians are doing the right
thing.
Politics is a complicated game. I think it's possible we're better
off in a scenario where Straus' committee chairs feel that they
have something to prove to the base to avoid a host of primary
challenges next year. After all, in the 2007 session it was a
Craddick appointee, conservative pro-life Christian David Swinford,
who killed all of the immigration bills at the behest of the Cheap
Labor Lobby. Someone like Swinford is a much tougher nut to crack
in a primary than a liberal Republican.
So to conclude: your efforts were not wasted. Let's continue to
put pressure on our representatives to support our issues in this
session, and if they do not, we can all look forward to March 6,
2012.
