A truly global response to a global crisis

In recent weeks, leaders worldwide have recognized the deficiencies of the existing system and the need to meet to address a broader set of proposals to reform the global financial system and its institutions. The G20 are now set to meet in Washington DC on November 15 to begin the discussions. It is of course imperative to agree on immediate measures to address the crisis, and we emphasize that priority must be given to responses to the impacts on ordinary employees and workers, low-income households, pensioners and other extremely vulnerable sectors. But we are deeply concerned that the proposed meetings will be carried out in a rushed and non-inclusive manner, and as a result, not address the comprehensive range of changes needed, nor fairly allocate their burden.

Though the crisis originated in northern countries, the impacts are likely to be greatest in developing countries. It is therefore critical that all countries have a say in the process to change the international financial architecture. No equitable and sustainable solutions to transforming the current system will come out of a conference that is rapidly-prepared and excludes many countries and civil society. Such efforts are in fact more likely to further undermine public trust and confidence and to further disenfranchise countries that are already opting for regional solutions over a stronger, more coherent and fairer international financial system.

Our demands –time for a fundamental rethink

We, the undersigned civil society organizations, support the fundamental and far-reaching transformation of the international financial and economic system. To serve this purpose, we support a major international conference convened by the UN to review the international financial and monetary architecture, its institutions and its governance, but only if the meeting follows a process that:

1. is inclusive and participatory of all governments of the world;
2. includes representatives from civil society, citizen’s groups, social movements and other stakeholders;
3. has a clear timeline and process for regional consultations, particularly with those most affected by the crisis;
4. is comprehensive in scope, tackling the full array of issues and institutions;
5. is transparent, with proposals and draft outcome documents made publicly available and discussed well in advance of the meeting.

Full use should be made of the new UN task force on the global financial system, the upcoming UN Financing for Development meeting and other UN instances to begin preparing such a global meeting.

There are no quick fixes in the transition from the current system - which has fostered instability and inequity - towards a just, sustainable and accountable one, which yields benefits for the majority of the world’s people.

Bush’s November 15 “International Summit”

Kept hidden from the American people is the fact that the U.N., under its new General Assembly President, Miguel D’Escoto, a sort of Jeremiah Wright on a global level, is working to take advantage of the continuing crisis.

D'Escoto

D’Escoto is the renegade Catholic Priest and former foreign minister of Communist Sandinista Nicaragua who advocates Marxist-oriented liberation theology and won the Lenin Peace Prize from the old Soviet Union. He is in a position to influence the conduct of Bush’s “international summit” and may even show up there.

D’Escoto says that “there is growing recognition that the current financial turmoil cannot be solved through piecemeal responses at the national and regional level but requires coordinated global efforts that should be led by the United Nations,” according to an Associated Press story. This means it has to be a U.N.-managed or supervised process, in order to loot the U.S. and benefit the rest of the world.

Bush’s “international summit” fits perfectly into D’Escoto’s anti-American plans.

With a slew of senators who won't even condemn their worst excesses in a mere symbolic vote, it's hard to dispute that statement.

How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely "NASA whistleblower" standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros' Open Society Institute , which gave him "legal and media advice"?

That's right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros' flagship "philanthropy," by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI's "politicization of science" program.

That's not the only case. Didn't the mainstream media report that 2006's vast immigration rallies across the country began as a spontaneous uprising of 2 million angry Mexican-flag waving illegal immigrants demanding U.S. citizenship in Los Angeles, egged on only by a local Spanish-language radio announcer?

Turns out that wasn't what happened, either. Soros' OSI had money-muscle there, too, through its $17 million Justice Fund. The fund lists 19 projects in 2006. One was vaguely described involvement in the immigration rallies. Another project funded illegal immigrant activist groups for subsequent court cases.

Do people know last year's Supreme Court ruling abolishing special military commissions for terrorists at Guantanamo was a Soros project? OSI gave support to Georgetown lawyers in 2006 to win Hamdan v. Rumsfeld — for the terrorists.

OSI also gave cash to other radicals who pressured the Transportation Security Administration to scrap a program called "Secure Flight," which matched flight passenger lists with terrorist names. It gave more cash to other left-wing lawyers who persuaded a Texas judge to block cell phone tracking of terrorists.

There is so much you have to wonder, How does he get away with it?

George Soros is one of the most powerful men on earth. A New York hedge fund manager, he has amassed a personal fortune estimated at about $7.2 billion. His management company controls billions more in investor assets. Since 1979, his foundation network -- whose flagship is the Open Society Institute (OSI) -- has dispensed an estimated $5 billion to a multitude of organizations whose objectives are consistent with those of Soros. (The President of OSI and the Soros Foundation Network is Aryeh Neier, who, as Director of the socialist League for Industrial Democracy, personally created the radical group Students for a Democratic Society in 1959.) Open Society Institute

Established in 1993, the Open Society Institute (OSI) is the most prominent of the numerous foundations belonging to the international billionaire financier George Soros, its founder and Chairman. Claiming to be "a nonpartisan, nonpolitical entity" whose funding agendas are "wholly separate" from "George Soros's private political activities," OSI describes itself as "a private operating and grantmaking foundation [that] "aims to shape public policy to promote democratic governance, human rights, and economic, legal, and social reform; … implements a range of initiatives to support the rule of law, education, public health, and independent media; [and] works to build alliances across borders and continents on issues such as combating corruption and rights abuses."

OSI's Director of U.S. Advocacy is Morton Halperin (President of John Podesta's Center for American Progress, and a longtime affiliate of the Institute for Policy Studies and the National Lawyers Guild).

The President of OSI and the Soros Foundation Network is Aryeh Neier, who, as Director of the socialist League for Industrial Democracy, personally created the radical group Students for a Democratic Society in 1959; he also worked for the American Civil Liberties Union from 1963 to 1978, serving as its Director for the last eight of those years.

PBS broadcaster and Schumann Center for Media and Democracy President Bill Moyers is a former trustee of the Open Society Institute.

A key funder of the open borders movement, OSI also supports the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund; the Immigrant Legal Resource Center; the National Immigration Law Center; the National Immigration Forum; the National Council of La Raza; and the American Immigration Law Foundation.

Internal Revenue Service records indicate that OSI made a September 2002 grant of $20,000 to the Lynne Stewart Defense Committee. Stewart was the criminal-defense attorney who was later convicted for abetting her client, the "blind sheik" Omar Abdel Rahman, in terrorist activities connected with his Islamic Group.

Between 1998 and 2003, OSI received more than $30 million from U.S. government agencies. Various State Department documents indicate that OSI has been paid to run what the Department describes as "democratization programs" in a number of countries, including Uzbekistan, Burma, and regions of Central Asia.

Have no doubt about it, what we are experiencing is a coup d'etat. The key question left is who is the architect and brains behind this coup to takeover America?

• Ronald Regan winning the Cold War exposed the World to America's true values and threatened the Anti-American Party.
  
• After George Bush won the Gulf War with the support of the World the symbolism was enhance, but the Anti-American faction was threatened even more by America and it's World exposure.
  
• The Media became dominated by Anti-American supporters to insure that the Media could control the views of the voters, criticize America, and support the Anti-American Party.
  
• The First Clinton administration benefited from the Media Control and War Dividend but was unable to capitalize on it because it was checked by a Republican House and Senate.
• The Second Clinton administration still had to deal with a somewhat diluted Republican House and Senate and was making progress until The Affair.
  
• 2000--George W. Bush with idealistic American ideals interrupted the chosen leader of the Anti-American Party by defeating Al Gore. This enhanced the threat to the Anti-American Party.
  
• Because of the close election George W. Bush governed as an American Patriot, and tried to appease the Anti-American Party without realizing the threat, control, and animosity of the Anti-American Party.
  
• 2001--America was attacked, and again the Anti-American Party was threatened by any success George Bush would have as a result.
• When America was effective in Afghanistan by quickly expelling the Taliban and defeating the Hussein regime in Iraq, the Anti-American Party was on the verge of defeat too, if they didn't respond immediately.
• The constant drum beat by The Media and the Anti-American Party began against the Pro America Administration and never stopped.
  
• 2004--In spite of the Administration success, The Media with support of the Anti-American Party were able to marginalize the resulting Congressional gains and thus provide substantial encouragement to the enemy.
• 2006--The big gain for the Anti-American Party came in the 2006 election when the Democrats took control of both The House and The Senate and many critical State offices that oversee elections in the swing states Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico and Ohio.
• The embolden Democrats now controlled the strings of the 2008 election for the Anti-American Party: Campaign finance, key state election officials, judges, war hearings, "corruption" hearings, war funding, and key committees. They created Anti-American news for their accomplices, The Media.
• 2008 The Media and Anti-American party selected all three candidates. They covered their bets any way the voters went. If the voters went patriotic they had McCain with limited funds, if the voters went gender, they had Clinton with unlimited funds but a questionable background, and if voters went racial, they had Obama with unlimited and hidden funds and no record of accomplishment. Secretive Obama does have a record, but the power the Anti-American Party has illustrates the extent they control the process to hide and disguise his anti-American and hidden record.
  
• The long Democratic campaign coupled with the Regular campaign and debates funded The Media.
  

This is a masterful, worldwide, international funded, corrupt, illegal, damaging, and to this point, successful, coup that will negatively impact The World and affect generations of Americans.
